Very strong statement….. but that’s what holistic spa therapist Audra Conklin looked up and saw on a billboard last July in Vancouver, BC. She had been an environmentalist her whole life but upon seeing those words decided that it was time to dedicate her knowledge and passion to educate as many people as she could reach……

Amy Baxter-Seiss is no stranger to cancer having lost both her parents to the disease at an early age. Being more chemically conscious became apparent to her when cleaning her home began giving her headaches and eye irritations. Researching natural cleaners was suddenly important and creating her own more than an idea…..

So Modern Mermaids Eco-Friendly Products was conceived from the exciting combination of creativity, passion, knowledge and friendship. Amy and Audra are two  women from Cape Cod, Massachusetts who have known each other for almost 25 years.

Coincidentally, they were living in the same place at the same time and had the desire and dedication to do something meaningful. Educating people about toxic products and what they are doing to our world as well as bringing them alternatives was something they felt could start to change people and by changing people, may change the world!
